Monday

We began construction of God’s House at Junior Camp II today.  We began with the foundation and will continue until we have built our own little church.  The key point for us is that we will build this church with a roof to symbolize our theme for the week “Under God’s Roof.”

We are having a great time and playing hard.

I told them the folks at home would not believe it, but the campers wanted to rest today.  We could not believe it, but they took a 30 minute rest period at 1:30 today. You can see in the pictures below that they have been playing hard.

Tuesday

Well so far as of 5 pm we have had almost 3 inches of rain during the day. But we also had 3 hours of sunshine.  It is not getting our spirits down.  We are having a blast this afternoon watching DVD’s and playing games.  We have been enjoying getting to know new friends and seeing people from last summer.

Wednesday

Today we walked on the Labyrinth which featured different activities. It was adapted for our camp by one of our Directors, Rev. Kathy McDowell.  We have not had as much rain today and have been able to swim and boat.

The Labyrinth had 10 stations and was set up for us in Peachtree Conference Center.

Thursday

The last full day of camp and the sun is back.  We had a great day today on the lake and in the pool.  We spent time today making new friends at lunch.  It was a blast.  We are looking forward to heading home tomorrow, but we are already looking forward to camp next summer.
