2011 Needs, Work Project, Wish List

Volunteering, providing, or funding any of these items
would make a great mission project for your congregation or group. We
hope you share our excitement in the growth of our ministry at Camp
Christian Conference Center and will choose to share in the ministry by
helping with your gifts and talents.
The costs of some of these projects or equipment have
been estimated where possible. Prices are based on contract work, some
on volunteers doing the work, and some on cost estimates for purchase.
If you have expertise in some of these areas and can donate your time,
cost estimates will be much different. Please indicate your interest in
a project by contacting Interim Regional Minister Bob Frank-Plumlee at
bob@gadisciples.org.

General Maintenance
Golf Cart- Culverts for directing water under the roads and the upper dam
- Photo copier
- Office supplies – especially paper
- Supplies for cleaning
- Toilet paper and paper towels
Gas Powered Pole Saw ($400)- Hot water Heater in Woodland Lodge ($1,000)
- Pool chemicals
- Replacement 4 Bay Swing Set($1,000)
- 5X8 enclosed trailer
Need New large Chainsaw with extra chains $400- The camp could use three back-up generators for key locations
around the camp. Including backup power to run our water wells and
to keep the freezers and refrigerators cooling during power outages.
Looking for a work project for your group? Projects
that need funding and perhaps volunteers could complete some of this
work.
- Replace Back Stop for the Ball Park
- Build a large storage building for extra tables and chairs near
Lavery Hall
Replacement of the Dock at the Pond- Paint walls in Woodland Lodge
- Painting interior of specified cabins
- Replace light bulbs with fluorescent and install motion switches
- Cut deadfall for firewood and stack at fire circle and in porch
of Peachtree
- Clear and repair “worship in the Woods” area
- Disassemble Playground equipment
- Fix and stain picnic tables and benches
Clean up and rework prayer Labyrinth- Shed roof covering the walk in refrigerator
- Lake needs treatment for Dollar Weed and Mill Foil. Ph must be
raised with lime treatment. ($500-$600). This includes the purchase
of a large tank and electric sprayer.
- Car Port and concrete pad for recreation. Instead of tent we
could use a carport for our two ping pong tables
- Stump Removal at the camp in program areas ($1000)
- Drain and fill old swimming pool – (will require heavy
equipment)
- Basketball Size Pavilion constructed for outdoor meetings and
meals
- Blacktop Roads inside the Camp Christian Conference Center
- Fence Around the property

Decks of cards - Card games ( uno, etc.)
Tacky Glue
Hot glue gun -mini glue Sticks
Glue sticks - could use 1 or 2 more packs of 10
Hole punch:
One hole (individual) 5-10
3 hole - need 2
Pencils: (no pencils needed)
Individual pencil sharpeners (8 – 10) for small groups
Pencil boxes – (approx 5x 7) for crayons, pencils, pens, and/or
markers
Small Scissors (Fixar, etc.)
Colored Sand
Hula Hoops
Ball pump needles
Basketballs – 5
Soccer - 2-3
Volleyballs - 3-5
Beach Balls – 2-3 LARGE
Rubbermaid (or similar) storage bins:
Shoe size
Desk top with drawers (letter size)
1-2 deep ones to hold games with game boards
Baggies – ziplock – sandwich size and up
Paint Brushes - small and up for crafts
