May We Help?

Communication Problems

"That's not what the minister told me. . .

Work Relationships

"He's too demanding. . ."
"She's never in her office. . ."

Emotional Problems

"Sometimes I can hardly get up in the morning. . ."
"I can't seem to get away from death and pain. . ."

Financial Problems

"Sometimes I feel like the church expects me to live like royalty while paying me like a pauper. . ."

Parenting Problems

"Sometimes I feel like an absentee parent living in a glass house. . ."

Sound familiar?  We all experience difficulties in ministry occasionally and we all like to think we can solve our own problems.  But sometimes we simply can't.  Sometimes we need help.  Maybe we're too close to the situation or too afraid or angry or depressed.  Maybe we've fought the same battle so many times, we've lost perspective.  Maybe we've stopped caring or maybe we care too much.

If you or your family need help coping with the problems in life and ministry, you have a resource available through the Ministry Assistance Program (MAP) of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Georgia and the Pastoral Institute.

For Appointments or information you may call the Regional Minister at 478-743-8649 for a referral or you may call the Clergy Resource Center of the Pastoral Institute at 1-800-649-6446.
