Clinical Pastoral Education
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is a valuable professional development opportunity for clergy and religious leaders serving in congregations or community ministry organizations. If you or those you support would like to deepen skills in interpersonal communication, grief support, crisis care, caring for people from diverse backgrounds or explore chaplaincy as a ministry vocation, CPE is for you!
Emory Spiritual Health offers many levels of CPE at various Emory Healthcare facilities which you can learn more about by visiting our website at www.emoryhealthcare.org/spiritual-health/. Those interested in CPE begin with an intern CPE unit. Currently we are interviewing for intern units which begin in January at our newest CPE site, Emory Decatur Hospital (formerly DeKalb Medical) and also at Emory University Hospital (Decatur) and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital (Sandy Spring). You may apply by completing an application found on our website and email the application to email@example.com. A flyer with details is attached to this email. If you have questions about CPE or completing an application, please call me at (404) 501 - 5149 or email at EJACK30@emory.edu.
Please share this information in your denominational or faith group communications or pass on to individual clergy who may be interested.
