Clergy ZOOM Call - November 14th 7:30 pm

The call will feature Rev. Eugene "Geno" Gibson, Senior Pastor of Olivet Fellowship Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. The topic of the call will be "Changing trends in contemporary, traditional, and blended worship!"

Geno studied music at the VanderCook College of Music in his native Chicago where he received the Hale A. VanderCook Talent Scholarship for vocal performance. He holds the following degrees: a Bachelor of Theology from Christian Bible College; a Master of Arts in Religion/Urban Ministries from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; and a Doctorate of Ministry from United Theological Seminary. His doctoral dissertation was entitled The Liberating Marriage: The Liberating Relationship Between the Sermon and Songs of the African American Church. Pastor Gibson teaches annually at the McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, as well as at Memphis Theological Seminary. He is a 2012 inductee into the Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Preachers of Morehouse College.


North West District Clergy Meetings - Nov 20th

Northwest District Clergy Luncheon November 20th at Campbell-Stone

Our next Northwest District Clergy Luncheon will be hosted by Campbell-Stone Buckhead (2911 Pharr Court South,NW, 30305).  Campbell-Stone will provide us a catered lunch.  We'll be meeting in the dining room area, called "The Bistro."  Please let us know of any dietary restrictions. 

Rev. Betty Brewer-Calvert and the Executive Director, Maria Manahan, will lead the program.  Tours of the facility will be given to those interested.

There are visitor parking spots near the front circle of the building.  It those are full, come back around into the parking lot and park on the right in the parking lot.  There is usually plenty of parking available.

Healthy Boundaries Workshops

Required Training for the Prevention of Clergy Misconduct

The policy and procedures document on Clergy Sexual Misconduct passed at the 2011 Regional Assembly requires all clergy in the Christian Church in Georgia to register and complete Healthy Boundaries Training every five years. Inactive Retired Ministers are exempt.

Clergy with standing in Georgia should receive information from the Regional office notifying them of the year they are required to take Boundaries training in order to retain their ministerial standing.  If you did not receive this information please contact the regional office at  (478) 743-8649 or email
