First Christian Church of Griffin Supports Education
The
First Christian Church of Griffin is dedicated to community mission work
within Spalding County. Over the last several years, many various groups
have had great benefit from the contributions of this local church. The
Outreach program within FCC dedicates each month to a new project and
August 2010 was no exception.
Anne Street Elementary was selected for August community mission for
a “Back to School” supply drive. Grade level supply lists were provided
by the school to the congregation. The congregation bought hundreds of
dollars in school supplies and provided the school nurse with the
requested socks, t-shirts and underwear. Large monetary donations were
made and a check was written to the school for all of the money
collected. As seen in the picture, Principal Evelyn Jones receives a
check from FCC Outreach Chairperson Jody Hann.
