New Music Director
New Hope Christian Church in Lawrenceville, GA
welcomes to its staff Patsy Gaffney, Music Director. A resident of
Lilburn, GA Patsy comes to New Hope from White Oak Baptist Church where
she served as pianist. Patsy is married to Tom Gaffney, a retired law
enforcement officer. They have 3 grown children and 3 beautiful
granddaughters. Patsy is a gifted pianist and a writer of music. She
says that music has always been a part of her life and the "heartbeat"
of who she is. Welcome Patsy! We're excited to have you on board.
Men's Cookout
The 1st Annual Men's Cookout was held June 20th, with
Rev. James Shelton and his wife Ellie hosting and doing the cooking.
This was to celebrate the men of New Hope and all they mean to the
ministry of the church. There were 19 in attendance and plenty of food
for all!
Vacation Bible School
VBS Kickoff and Youth Week was June 28 - July 2. The
theme this year - "Son Rock Kids Camp". Lots of preparation made
everyone excited and ready to get started! The youth had their own
events and activities going on during the day and then helped with the
children in the evenings. So much going on! Spreading the love of Jesus
in our community!
Marriage!
Rev. Tamara P. Dickson, our Children & Youth Director,
became Rev. Tamara P. Humphries on May 23, 2009 in Jeffersonville, GA.
Tammy and Chuck together have 5 teenagers. Be in prayer for this
wonderful, dedicated couple as they begin this new life together. Tammy
and Chuck are so devoted to our children and youth and we appreciate all
they do here at New Hope. |
