News from Union
Friday, September 7th, the youth attended high school football games
followed by a Lock-In at the home of Alan Martin, a Junior at North
Oconnee High School. Over 14 youth attended.
On Sunday September 16th, Over 20 Chi-Rho and CYF of
Union Christian hosted a Spaghetti Luncheon Fundraiser and raised over
$700.00 for various outings and camps. One of which will be the Youth-a-Palooza
trip in January.
The Youth will be having a Youth Retreat to Pigeon
Forge, TN in November. The retreat will be lead by Rev. Terressa Ewing,
Youth Director at Union. The theme: "How Big is Your God?"
Cool Kids - the Christian Children's Fellowship group
will be help pack up gift boxes for our troops soon. In November they
will be packing boxes for some of our Families in Need.
On September 2nd, the Union Christian Children and
Youth Sunday School classes began the Faith Weaver Series Curriculum and
their Sunday School Challenge. For anyone with perfect attendance at
Sunday School each month, a prize is selected from Ms. Terressa's
Treasure Box. We are encouraging everyone in the church to be a Sunday
School and Church each week. The Faith Weaver curriculum will be used in
Children's Worship hour as well as Sunday School.
October 28th - 4:00 - 6:00 p.m Union will hold it's
First - Fall Festival: Trunk-or-Treat. We invite all of our
sister churches and their families to join us. Come dressed in costume
and enjoy Trunk-or-Treating through our decorated trunks/trucks and
more. There will be a Hay ride, face painting, pumpkin decorating, cake
walks, book walks, and more. Admission is free but there will be a
minimal charge for food items. For more information, call the church at

Cool Kids - K - 5th graders - meets Sundays from 4:00
- 5:30 p.m.
Chi-Rho/CYF - 6th -12th - meet Sundays from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m
Youth Bible Study - Weds. 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
