Church Dedication
on August 16
 Members
and friends gathered at 2:00 p.m. on the afternoon of August 16th to
officially dedicate the Spirit of Joy Christian Church building.
Greetings were brought by various friends of the congregation including
the mayor of Flowery Branch. The
history of the church was recalled by three members: Harry Veatch The
Birth of Spirit of Joy, Bruce Fitch The Wandering Church, and Ray
Boettcher The Church Finds a Home.
The sermon was brought by Shane Hornbuckle of Peachtree Christian Church
where he is vice-chairman of the church board. The title of his message
was The Most Recognized Symbol in the World.
Following the service a reception was
held in the Activities building.
