The Regional Elders program was officially begun in the Fall of 2009. The Region’s twelve elders annually visit a short list of assigned congregations in the name of the Christian Church in Georgia. In addition they maintain quarterly contact with each church assigned to them, sometimes sharing in celebrative functions at the church. Among their duties are to be a caring and supportive presence and a connection to and an advocate for the Regional Church and the General Church.
