| 2003 Layman of the Year
Buddy Ray received the Disciple Layman of
the Year Award on Sunday, January 11, 2004, in worship at his home
congregation The Kirk of the Corners Christian Church.

On hand to present the award were members
of the CMF Commission: John Anderson, Dan Anderson, Medie Still, Jerry
Wahl, and Joe Kern. Making the presentation was Charles Maddox, Disciple
Men’s President this year.
Buddy was recognized for his work in the
past as a Scout Leader and work as Peachtree Christian Church Youth
Director. He was especially recognized for his current work for the
church: teaching Sunday School, preaching on occasion, serving on the
regional communications commission, as GA Disciple Webmaster, for website
construction additionally for Disciple Men, Camp Christian Conference
Center and Kirk of the Corner Christian Church.
Buddy noted that he was glad to have so
many opportunities in his life to serve the Lord.
Buddy’s family was on hand for his
