Men's Rally Group ShotThe Disciples Men of the Region of Georgia held their Fall Rally at Griffin First Christian Church on Saturday, October 13.  The fellowship was wonderful.  Roger With, from Liberty Christian Church in Newnan and Men’s Commission President, opened and led the program.  Bob and Mary Grant from Griffin First led the singing.  Rev. Denise Bell gave a Regional report on the Camp Christian Conference Center and on our LIFT initiative.  Rev. Richard Williams from Ray of Hope gave a preview of our upcoming Retreat that will be held at Christmount, April 5-7, 2019.  Rev. Medie Still, from Guyton Christian Church, presented the day’s devotion based on the story of Job and how it relates to the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Michael.  The keynote speaker was Rev. David Kenley from Johns Creek Christian Church.  His enlightening presentation helped us realistically examine half-truths that many Christians have begun to accept as “gospel.”  Too many of these expressions do not pass the “scripture test.”  After the program closed with communion and a friendship circle, those present enjoyed a delicious Chicken Cordon-Bleu lunch provided by the ladies of the Griffin church.  Although the group was small in number, the presence of the Holy Spirit was overwhelming.
