2009 Fall East Central / South East Districts Fall Rally

October 24, 2009

The SE/EC Rally got off to a great start with around 20 coming together for fun and fellowship at Hiltonia First Christian Church, Saturday, Oct 24,2009. Medie Still kicked it off by asking what other disciples are doing in their churches. A few spoke about the Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF) dinners that they have started having in order to discuss needs and support. Medie then spoke about the food pantry, The Fillin' Station, (open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am - 2 pm every week) which Guyton's CMF support through donations.

Rev. Michael Weeks gave an informative slide presentation about work days at Camp Christian this year and announced that they will need camp counselor volunteers for the 2010 Summer Camp and Conference. He passed out new counselor application forms and brochures about summer camp.

Ray Miles brought us up-to-date on what is going on in the region including some new churches starting.

We were then treated to a wonderful spaghetti dinner with all the fixin's ... salad, bread, tea and dessert. Medie then sent us on our way by challenging us to get out of our comfort zone and do something "more".

Communion, prayer and goodbyes.
