2009 Fall Northeast District Fall Rally

October 17, 2009

The men of the Northeast district gathered at First Christian Church of Lawrenceville for their annual Fall Rally.  Our gracious hosts from FCC Lawrenceville had a continental breakfast ready at 10am when everyone arrived.  The ladies of the church put out quite a spread that included pastries and sausage and cheese balls!

Rev. Hoyt Huff opened the meeting in prayer followed by a warm welcome from Rod Baker.  Rod also made announcements as did Regional Men's president Will Purdue followed by a cheer  - a feature for which Will is becoming famous!

Rev. Ray Miles, Regional Minister then gave an update on news around the Region, focusing especially on recent work in flood relief.

An offering, led by Joe Austin, was collected.  The offering will be split between Georgia Men's work and a fund to help victims of the recent flooding in Georgia.

Rev. James Shelton from New Hope Christian Church led the group sing - accompanied by Jody Gragg of Peachtree Corners Christian Church.  James then delivered a wonderful message punctuated by an inspiring ballad about Moses and his staff.

After a closing prayer by Rev. Hoyt Huff, a delicious bar-b-que lunch was served by the Men of FCC Lawrenceville.  Be sure the view all of the photos below.
