Mission Possible
The Bible is filled with men and
women who were called by God to fulfill unique missions. Moses
was called by God from a burning bush to lead the Israelites out
of Egypt. Nehemiah's mission was to rebuild the city wall.
Esther's mission was to save the Jews. Jonah's mission was to
evangelize Nineveh. Mary was asked by God to bear His Son. God
gave Paul the vision to launch the first church.
God is still looking for people
to stand in the gap so that they can be used to impact the
world. The mission of Youth-A-Palooza 2006 was to find a few
young men and women, who should they choose to accept a mission,
would be open to God assigning them a mission. As you know from
watching Mission Impossible, these instructions are likely to
self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck!
Over 400 youth and sponsors
gathered at Epworth by the Sea during Martin Luther King Weekend
to be challenged, study, worship, and serve in mission in the
St. Simmons community. Students cleaned up the beaches and
downtown area on St. Simons.
Students were challenged to Get the Word Out when
they returned home.
11 Get the word out. Teach all these
things. 12 And don't let anyone put you down because you're
young. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by
love, by faith, by integrity (1 Timothy 4:11-12, The Message).
