On Saturday, October 27, 2012, 26 Disciple Men and wives joined together at the North West District Disciples Menís Rally at the First Christian Church of Atlanta.

The rally began at 10:00 A.M. after coffee and pastries, with a stirring musical performance of "The Morning Trumpet" and "Tears in Heaven" by the FCC Altnat Vocal Ensemble..  Rev. Jacob Kines of FCC Atlanta then opened with a prayer.

Greetings and announcements were made by Will Purdue, past president of Georgia Disciples Men who read a letter from Bob Grant, President, Georgia Disciples Men.  Joe Austin of Peachtree Corners Christian church conducted a roll call followed by a report on the Region by Buddy Ray, Regional Webmaster, who emphasized the upcoming Regional Assembly and the Camp Christian 50th Anniversary Gala.

Joe Kerns took the offering followed by an excellent message by Rev. Rich Voelz of Johns Creek Christian Church titled "Where have all the Disciples Gone?"  Rich's message was followed by a general discussion on evangelism.

Tommy Freeman, Camp Manager of Camp Christian gave a detailed report on activities at camp and maintenance needs that the men might respond to.  The men formed a circle and Rev. Kines gave the benediction.

The group then adjourned to the outdoor pavilion where a lunch of grilled hamburgers with all the fixins were enjoyed by all.
