Retreat Leader

Rev. Khalia J. WilliamsRev. Khalia J. Williams, Keynote Speaker, serves as  Assistant Dean of Worship and Music at Candler School of Theology at Emory University.  An ordained Disciples minister, she is working toward completion of her Ph.D. in Liturgical Studies from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California with a focus on worship, theology, and dance performance.   Rev. Williams is a professionally trained classical ballet and modern dancer who answered her call to the ministry of worship and the arts at age 9.       
 
Khalia has a passion for empowering women and seeking justice for marginalized communities.  Rev. Williams feels deeply the hurts of our world.  She is looking forward to exploring the concerns of Disciples Women in Georgia and, together, seeking the path to wholeness. 

Retreat Musician

Rev. Ann HainesRev. Ann Haines, Retreat Music Leader, has served as musician and worship leader at events throughout the Southeast and Capitol area.  She serves as pianist at St. Andrew Christian Church in Macon and assists in evening worship at local community churches. She plays piano, guitar, French horn, and drums.

Rev. Haines has served in multiple capacities on the DW Ministries Commission, including President.  She has a heart for ministry, and she leads with faith-filled enthusiasm and joy.    She is retired after 25 years of working with the Georgia Farm Bureau.


Disciples Girls' Program Leader

Teresa BenschTeresa Bensch, our Disciples Girls’ Program leader for retreat,  is an active member of Sandy Springs Christian Church where she enjoys working with Children Worship and Wonder as well as participating in the youth Mexico Mission Trips.  She recently co-directed Junior I Camp at Camp Christian.  Teresa is currently a seminary student at Lexington Theological Seminary and anticipates working in Women’s and transitional ministry.

 Teresa is dedicated to the spiritual growth of children and youth.  She also finds joy  in working in Women’s Ministries and helping women understand their intrinsic value.
