The Regional Elders program was officially begun in the Fall of 2009. The Region’s elders annually visit a short list of assigned congregations in the name of the Christian Church in Georgia. In addition they maintain quarterly contact with each church assigned to them, sometimes sharing in celebrative functions at the church. Their duties include providing a caring and supportive presence for their congregations, as well as being a connection to and an advocate for the Regional and General Church.
