pastor of the First Christian Church of Sandersville, passed
away unexpectedly on Saturday.
May and Smith Funeral Directors of Sandersville is
handling the arrangements.
According to the funeral home, there is visitation at the
First Christian Church of Sandersville from 5 p.m. until 7
p.m. on Thursday May 17 followed by a memorial service at 7
p.m. in the Prayer Garden of the Church. The Rev. Marlon Lastinger will officiate.
Mission for Biblical Literacy
- is trying to help an orphanage recover from a devastating
flood in Kisumu Kenya.

of Camp Christian - Members from
Central Baptist Church of Gray Georgia held a workday at Camp Christian on
April 21, 2012. They rebuilt the "Worship in the
Woods", painted the dining hall and trimmed trees. As
Rev. Bob Frank-Plumlee said: 'Praise
God for calling workers beyond "just us" Disciples.'
Other groups holding workdays at Camp Christian include
Ebenezer Baptist and Mustard Seed.

Church in Watkinsville spent the day at Camp
Christian on March 17, 2012 painting cabins.

Chung Seong Kim held the first baptism in this congregation
in formation on Easter Sunday! Good Neighbor Christian
joined with Peachtree Corners Christian Church in Norcross
for Easter Services and Rev. Kim used the PCCC baptistery.
Evergreen Christian Church
- (A congregation in formation) is moving! Not in
space, but in time. After worshiping for some time on
Saturday, Evergreen will now hold worship services at 1pm on
Sunday, still at Friendship Christian Church in Athens.

Mission to Haiti - These photos
from the 2011 Mission for Biblical Literacy mission to Haiti
were used in the January MBL newsletter - but we thought you
should see these heartwarming photos in full resolution and
color. There is also new information on the mission
and 5 year plan in an attached slide show.
Central Christian Church Augusta
- reports that The Lord is working at Central. Attendance is
consistently up 30-40 percent. The Church had four baptisms
in January and will have three more Easter Sunday. Three
people have transferred their membership to Central this
year, seven the last part of last year and the congregation
held three baptisms.
