The work of Disciples in Georgia is carried out by ministries, task forces, and commissions, responsible for ongoing programs and specific areas of mission and ministry for the Regional Church.

In addition to ministry teams responsible for programs, the work of the Regional Church is carried out by commissions and task forces. Commissions are ongoing groups charged with specific areas of the Regional Church’s mission and ministry. Task forces are appointed from time to time for specific short-term responsibilities.

Task Forces

Finance Task Force
Chair: Mr. Archie Jenkins
The Finance Task Force has been set up to implement and standardize program budgeting, protocols for handling money and credit cards, and monthly reviews of financial reports and general ledger. In addition, it is charged with developing and promoting an Annual Fund in support of the Christian Church in Georgia. 

Youth Ministry Task Force
Chair: Rev. Alan Cloar
The Regional Youth Ministry Task Force began its work in November 2025 and is charged with discerning and shaping the future of regional youth ministry in Georgia. The Task Force is organizing its work around five goals:

  • Discern regional youth ministry goals

  • Explore the challenges and joys of youth ministry in Georgia today

  • Take a fresh look at current and historic regional youth ministry activities

  • Imagine new events, activities, and ideas

  • Experiment with one, two, or three new initiatives, staying focused on regional youth ministry goals.
