New Church Commission
The purpose of the Commission on New Church is to seek out new areas in Georgia to start Disciples churches. The Commission also supports and nurtures existing new “Congregations in Formation,” as well as established non-Disciples churches that seek to affiliate with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). When churches in formation or in the process of affiliating meet established criteria, the Commission recommends them to be received as established congregations.
