YAY! Summer Camp at Camp Christian

Camp Christian Summer 2025 was a great success with super volunteers and campers. Numbers for Genesis, Chrysalis, Junior, and Chi Rho Camps, and CYF Conference totaled 128 campers, 44 volunteer adults, 9 CIT's and 1 Peace Intern. Serving as the Peace Intern for Chi Rho Camp this year was Ruthie Weeks, daughter of Rev. Michael and Michelle Weeks. Rev. Weeks was the former Associate Regional Minister for the Christian Church in Georgia and Executive Director of Camp Christian Conference Center from 2001-2010.
Campers came from Disciples congregations across Georgia, including First Christian Church-Athens, Brookhaven Christian Church-Atlanta, Peachtree Christian Church-Atlanta, Central Christian Church-Augusta, Bogart Christian Church, Central Christian Church-Columbus, First Christian Church-Decatur, Damascus Road Christian Church-Decatur, First Christian Church-Griffin, First Christian Church-Lawrenceville, New Hope Christian Church-Lawrenceville, Chestnut Ridge Christian Church-Marietta, First Christian Church-Sandersville, Sandy Springs Christian Church, Iglesia Christiana Getsemani-Valdosta, and Union Christian Church-Watkinsville.
Special thanks to all the Directors, Counselors, and CIT’s who worked hard to have a great camp season and who were sent by these congregations: First Christian Church-Athens, Peachtree Christian Church-Atlanta, Central Christian Church-Augusta, Bogart Christian Church, Central Christian Church-Columbus, First Christian Church-Decatur, Damascus Road Christian Church-Griffin, First Christian Church-Lawrenceville, Chestnut Ridge Christian Church-Marietta, and Sandy Springs Christian Church.
Camp Oasis
is a day camp serving children from Wilkinson County and offering and opportunity to Disciples youth and young people who want to explore Christian service.
July 14-18, 2025
Genesis Camp gives children who have completed Kindergarten a chance to discover Camp Christian for a weekend alongside a parent or other caregiver.
June 20-22, 2025
Children who have completed 1st and 2nd grade enjoy several days of Summer Camp at Camp Christian.
June 16-18, 2025
Campers who have completed 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades are part of Junior Camp.
June 16-20, 2025
Middle school students attend Chi Rho Camp, where friends and faith are formed.
June 9-13, 2025
High school students attend CYF Conference, an experience which has led to lifelong friendships and even a call to ministry.
